COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 14 years of age. If under 18, a parent or guardian must sign your enrolment form to accept responsibility.
Before finalizing your enrolment, you’ll need to successfully complete an online assessment to evaluate your Language, Literacy, and Numeracy skills.
You will be undertaking this course using ZOOM. ZOOM is a communications platform that allows users to connect with video, audio, phone, and chat. Using Zoom requires an internet connection and a supported device. ONLY Laptop / Desktop / Tablet devices can be used whilst undertaking this course.
Mobile Phones will NOT be an accepted device as a means of undertaking this course.

To participate in the training, presenting 100 points of identification (ID) is necessary. If you’re uncertain about the ID prerequisites, our staff can provide you with a NSW Safe Work Evidence of Identity Sheet. The original ID documents must be physically verified before you start the program. However, there are exceptions for secondary school students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, and individuals who have entered the country within the last 6 weeks.
This course is subject to State and Territory licensing regulations. In New South Wales (NSW), General Induction Training (GIT) cards distributed after January 1, 2012, hold recognition nationwide. SafeWork NSW acknowledges all out-of-state GIT cards, as long as they remain valid and unexpired, without suspension or cancellation. Should you possess an Interstate GIT card, there’s no obligation to undergo GIT training within NSW.
The following Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) are REQUIRED during the webinar to successfully complete this course.
Note: You will need to purchase these PPE items. Your trainer will check that you have these items prior to you commencing
the webinar. You will not be allowed to partake in the webinar if you fail to have these items.

DURATION AND STRUCTURE
This course is carried out through an online classroom setup and is conducted in person, spanning a single day. Your participation will involve attending the online face-to-face session for a minimum of 7 hours, s cheduled from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
During the course, you’ll collaborate in small groups as well as work individually. To demonstrate competency, you’ll undertake a range of assessments. These assessments encompass short-answer and multiple-choice questions, oral questioning, and observation.

COURSE UNIT
This course constitutes a single Unit of Competency, CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, and upon completion, you will be awarded a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment. The course focuses on educating you about the primary risks and potential hazards associated with construction work, as well as strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.

COURSE FEES
The cost covers the issuance of the SafeWork NSW Statement of Training for General Induction, which you will receive upon successfully completing the training day and being deemed competent. Additionally, it includes the competency card, dispatched by SafeWork NSW within 30 days. The Statement of Training remains valid for 60 days, allowing you to begin work on-site before the card arrives.
